Another (biased I live there) vote for Zug.

If your work is in Zug then that makes it easy. As mentioned before, is right on the lake, close to nature such as up on Zugerberg. It is also easy to get to Lucerne, and Zurich.

My only added comment is that everyone always says how low taxes are. Yes they are in Canton Zug, but everything else is more expensive and so that should definitely not be your only decision making point.

Low tax=high living costs (accommodation etc.).

Thalwil is nice too and has very good train connections but I don't kow it so well, except for the train station where I am constantly swapping trains :-)

That said, I love living in Zug. Small but perfectly formed
