There are a lot of things about NI that I never imagined:
- Gerry Adams sitting in Dáil Éireann
- Ian Paisley and Marin McGuinness cracking jokes with each other
- Martin McGuinness shaking hands with the Queen
- An Irish COS taking the guard of honour at Buckingham Palace
- The Queen laying a wreath at the Garden of Remembrance
- A British military band taking commands in Gaelic
It is still hard to imagine... but the peace dividends are many despite all the noise and much of the business community in NI (which is unionist) has done very well out of the EU and access to Irish markets. Plus of course the simple fact that people can go about there business without getting shot or blown up!
When people like Ian Paisley Jnr., starts advising constituents to apply for Irish passports, you should expect the unthinkable.
