Re: Cost of CT scan?

CT scan of the lungs, CHF 1500+ at an imaging center Zürich, IIRC something like 500-600 at the local hospital. Dfference was the consultation, interpretation, and other associated costs.

(The ZH place was a bit snooty upscale. (And who needs that in healthcare?) Care and treatment was actually worse IMO and IME than at the local hospital. After being sent to the snooty place I asked the doctor to send me somewhere else for the follow-up, and was pleasantly surprised at not only the difference in cost but also in professionalism. You don't necessarily 'get what you pay for.'..)

Has your GP or other doctor given you a referral? If not, be aware that many places will require a referral in order to make an appointment.

Also be aware that if you don't have a referral your insurance might not cover the cost. Check your policy.
