When I was leaving Switzerland I was keen for as many of my medical bills as possible to come through before I left, for administrative reasons. I contacted the doctors who had seen me and who had not yet billed them, explained the situation and asked them to send me their bills as soon as possible. No-one had a problem with doing this.
I was under the impression that health insurance companies handled all matters of biling
