Apparently not the false result is praised but the correct logic used on the way to arrive there, and the correct intermediate results.
Over here, even in the good old days (cough) you'd get half points for getting, say, the final formula right but arriving at a false result because you botched the final calculation after inserting the respective values. Or perhaps you switched two digits of the right parameter so still ended up with the wrong result.
I'm surprised this is a new thing in the US. | | | | | It's not a new thing.
It's just a combo of poor communication and nit picking.
