I don't think there should be any loss. As long as your contract shows the real start date and you were therefore paying the RAV contributions from that date you will accumulates the full 3 months 'credit'. If not then the probationary period would also start from the later date, as stated in the contract, so they'd not be able to let you go until the full 3 months from contracted start date anyway.

In this situation the B permit issue date is not relevant.
