Ordered on Friday 4th, box turned up Monday 7th.

Activation was done the same afternoon... turned on the box, it reckons that it's "connected", looks like it upgraded itself just fine.

The SFP gets 10Gbit up and down, the box knows what IP address it has.

Only the internet doesn't work, neither via wired nor wifi. LAN devices do get issued with an IP address, only there is basically no connectivity.

All support can do is say "it's with the technical department" and that's the only information that you get out of them.

At least in the meantime I can still use the Apple TV service via Sunrise, but they have three weeks to sort it out as that's when my Sunrise service is going to end.

Who thinks that they will be able to do it by then ?


In other news, with Sunrise fiber I basically took out the SFP that they gave me in their internet box and put it into a TP-Link MC-220 media converter - anyone tried doing a similar thing with the Salt box yet?
