I suppose a person can if they are a British citizen ? regardless of where they are in the world ?

But what would happen to foreigners who have worked in the UK a life time and then want to retire to another country ?


After all it's quite common here that some people spend their life in Switzerland and then retire to France, or Spain or Portugal etc. They still get their Swiss pension and AVS don't they ?


Sorry for all the questions, I truly do not have a clue and I'm quite curious and am trying to understand.
