It's no different than travelling from one canton to another.

Key to this is the Schengen visa which needs to be applied for if you are not from an EU country or from Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Once you have the Schengen visa you can enter the Schengen area and travel around Schengen.
