It's definitely the EU's fault (because it happens in every country, right?) that hairdressers in Greece got to retire early on generous pensions because their work was classified as "dangerous".
The Greek economy was a basket case, which the EU bailed out. The EU, wanting to see some of their money back, put stipulations on the loan.
