Looking at Gallup polling all the way back to Truman in 1947, only one president had higher approval in their party at this stage in their presidency (~665 days in). It was George W. Bush at 94% still on his post 9/11 bump.

Trump may not be a conservative as defined by National Review editors, but the conservative voting block sure loves him. It's really telling. As long as you're tear gassing migrants and cutting taxes for corporations then corruption, incompetence, cozying up to monarchs that torture and dismember US permanent residents/journalists, and trillion dollar deficits (borrowing for tax cuts) are OK for the vast majority of Republicans.
There is a theory that a lot of people have left the GOP so the only ones left are Trump fans; hard to prove, of course.
