After working for 20 years +, I became a stay at home dad while my Swiss wife went back to work full time. My profession is as a sport therapist, but my Canadian qualifications are not recognized here. About 18 months ago, I started an 'einzelfirma' and went back to work. Most of it was contract work and involved a lot of travel. It was trying, but a nice source of supplemental income.

My wife and I are now divorcing. We have a teenage daughter. My einzelfirma is still growing, and at the moment will not sustain a household for me...and may never. Will the RAV be a place for me to start, or is there a better place to begin?

You don't qualify for RAV being self employed.
