Re: Salt Fiber Box

Some reports about the new firmware v1.01.15 build42. It obviously fixes a so called NAT-loopback (hairpinning) issue. The described problems above might be related to that. Says also that the WLAN improved. Several posts above complained about the WLAN of the box. Nevertheless, rebooting the box here does not trigger a firmware upgrade.

From 2 days ago (19-02-19). I have the new firmware v1.01.15 built 42 installed in my Salt Fiber Box. The Nat LoopBack become possible and more stability and better Wifi. Thank you for this new Firmware. The 10G light speed Fiber Box finally becomes really usable. Cool ;-)

Anyway, AFAIK the salt box uses the google DNS-Servers, what was confirmed on twitter or facebook once I think. But you can't make settings for the DNS in the salt box itself, its practically burnt in. My suggestion is, in the network properties, to set the "DNS-Server address" manually to the salt box, that is, default 192.168.1.1 (you can change that in the salt box in network=>LAN).
Instead of using the usual setting "Obtain DNS Server automatically"

You might give a try.

I had a similar problem a while ago and that helped.
