Re: Cleaning service batmaid

Was using another cleaning service a few years ago (can't remember the name).

Went through the same rigmarole described in previous posts i.e. continuously changing people, having to show them the ropes etc. At the end of the day the service provided wasn't good because a) I had to be there to explain many times b) Had no idea who was coming into my apartment c) It was incredibly expensive.

So I poached one of the staff who I'd seen working a few times and had done great work. Asked if she'd also be interested in working outside of her hiring agency, which she jumped at because she was sick of all the messing around of her hiring agency.

Got and paid the necessary documentation for insurance etc, and it's been perfect since around 3-4 years. Hope it stays - would hate to loose her.

I tried to give further recommendations for her services when EFers were looking, but she was totally let down by EFers either not being there when she turned-up for an interview e.g. in Altstetten, or not willing to pay her wages (and believe me, she is far, far more affordable than services like BatMaid).

In all the years she's helped me with the household (she comes twice per month), she's never once cancelled due to being sick. We arrange our vacations, sometimes she'll let me know in advance if she needs to move an appointment to the next day due a doctor's appointment etc.

I've tried giving her a bonus at Christmas, but she doesn't accept it.

At the end of the day its all about working together.
