Re: Filing taxes on B Permit with 3a contribution | Quote: | | | | | Hi folks, I'd appreciate some recommendation on my specific situation:
I'm on B permit and earned close to but under 120K in full year 2018. Live in Zurich city (hence 119% Gemeindesteuerfuss). Quellensteuer was deducted monthly (based on my read-up, the assumption used for Gemeinde tax is an average tax rate of 106-108% across whole Canton Zurich). I also made a 3a investment to the full CHF 67XX. I have not received any tax forms from the authorities. I have commute costs (GA) and lunch meal costs.
Now questions:
1. Do the quellensteuer assumed deductions already include commute costs (e.g. GA costs) and lunch costs?
2. If I make a simple supplementary correction application to claim deductions for the 3a contribution, will they recalculate my entire tax rate based on the 119% steuerfuss instead of the lower canton averaged rate?
Thanks in advance for any input! | | | | | Yes and yes
