Re: Ku Klux Klan in Kanton Schwyz

An issue I often discussed with my late mother (born 1915) - she spent 1 year (well less she had to return as things were turning really nasty) studying German in Munich in 1933. when she returned, she tried to describe what she had seen and experienced, beatings, shop windows broken, book burnings at the university - but she was mocked ans told she was being 'silly'- and that there was nothing wrong ...She was sent to study for 1 year in England (London then Hastings) - she later thought to keep her quiet and not upset the 'apple cart' and possibly threaten lucrative contracts.

To the end of her days, it troubled her and she wished she had published her experiences and not been quiet. She was an amazing woman.
