| As previously mentioned, I did use the tic clip on 2 dogs whilst living in Switzerland with good results, one medium coat and one wire haired. Since moving permanently to our house in rural France I have had to go down the chemical route. I now wonder whether this is due to the “manicured” nature of Switzerland rather than the efficacy of the clip. I would love the clip to work, maybe it does in areas of low tick infestation but here, no chance. | |

Thanks, I did see your post, were you in the forest a lot? I encounter a heck of a lot of ticks, so probably wouldn't have much of an effect.

Proabaly similar sentiment on the tick clip, garlic and holy water type solutions. | |

Personally I've had great success in areas of high infestation with garlic, especially the brand Springtime in the US, but I totally think it depends on the dog and the area. Here the only dog garlic supplement I've found is not very effective, so there you have it.
