Where you live at the moment this would be called an "Unterstellung" at least. Could be a "Verleumdung" (which would be bad), not sure
Gives me the creeps.

Not to mention that I think that you (and that is an assumption as well) totally overestimate the shrewdness and ability to calculate ahead of those people.
