Sounds like it. You'd have to apply through the Swiss LOB fund. When I did this HMRC sent me a letter asking for my NI number (as if they didn't have it anyway?) to confirm my national insurance status.

I was then rejected. I got the non-mandatory part fairly easily though. As with all things Swiss there was a mountain of paperwork and they needed originals for some things.
