Re: What is the best time [of year] to travel to Italy

[Sorry for delayed reply]

* My wife's temporary residence permit does not reflect an expiry date. I have written to French and as well as Autrian embassies. Their main concern as it seems to me is, they want to know untill when we are allowed to live in Switzerland (untill when the residence permit is valid).
Now, the hitch is...the expiry date is only mentioned in the permenant L-Card.

* I guess, the only workaround for this is to take a re-entry permit from Swiss Immigration. That would ensure that she is allowed to re-enter Switzerland after the completion of the trip. Please, let me know if anyone can throw some insight onto this.
Anyone tried this..??

* I agree, French embassy seems to be quite prompt and co-operative. Italian embassy did not even cared to reply back to my querry.

Cheers...
