Long Stay Residency (D Visa) vs Work Permit

I've been married to a Swiss citizen for the last almost 15 years, and we're planning on move back to Switzerland. She's found an apartment, and I'm working on finding a job.

The guidance we've been given by the Swiss consulate is that we should apply for a long-stay family reunification visa, which indications are should be granted.

Does anyone know what the implications that has on my ability to work, assuming that goes through? Will I still need to get an employer-sponsored B-Permit, or can I freely look for work without requiring my potential employers to provide sponsorship?
