I have exactly the same car in UK and in CH. (Mazda CX3 sport nav auto).


UK insurance 350 GBP a year. CH, 1,200 CHF a year.


Maybe if you are a boyracer in a petrolhead's wet-dream vehicle, CH might be cheaper (As you insure the car not the person here). But for a not very exciting small family car, and good driving record, in my experience UK is lots cheaper.

(However, in either territory it probably depends on whether you are UK resident insuring a Swiss Car Vs UK car, or Swiss resident insuring a Swiss Car Vs UK car)
