Locals do not hang a rug on the wall

If locals want to hang something on a wall they drill a hole into it, insert a nifty invention of a German guy into said hole. Then they screw in a hook or similar suitable thing into the hole in which the invention of Mr. Fischer was inserted. Thanks to the invention, known as a Dübel, the hook or screw will be hold safely and securely in the hole in the wall.
Called rawlplugs in the U.K. and invented by a Mr. Rawlings twenty years before Herr. Fischer was born.

To his credit, Herr. Fischer did create the plastic version used today (which would have been impossible for Mr. Rawl at the time.
