Re: Non-EU Student

Non-EU employees donít apply for work permits. The companies hiring them must apply for the work permits on their behalf.

The non-EU graduate hiring rules in the first six months are really no different from the non-EU graduate hiring rules after the first six months. The cantons seem to have applied an interpretation of the Neirynck initiative that does not put non-EU graduates on equal footing with EU graduates.

This does not mean that it is impossible for non-EU graduates to find employment in Switzerland. Most employers just canít be bothered to go through the process.
