I understand some countries have restrictions over farmland, but these are not so much nationality based as much as that you need to be a farmer to be allowed to buy, or may only buy when no actual farmer is interested. It happens in France quite a bit to the vinyards in protected DOC/AOC areas for example, as local communes may fear these could get ploughed under and turned into golf courses or something..
