Trail running is so much better for the joints than pounding the roads.

Regarding you standing on a tennis ball...it’s a great technique but so much more effective if you get a hard ball like the´black roll ball’ (SportXX has it). It hurt as hell when I started using it, but after a few months of daily use (a few min. every morning), I got to a state where I can stand on it pain free. Your fascia (connected tissue) not only under your feet, but hamstrings as well as lower back is targeted when you stand on a ball like that, so it can be very beneficial for peeps with tight hamstrings, lower back pain etc...
A great ‘toe yoga exercise’ is ´Screaming Toe Pose’ (Google it). It works with your toes as well as your ankles. Great stuff!
