As to fussy eating, back in the day I simply would not get anything else and had to stay at the table untill it was eaten. After a while you forced it down especially if Thunderbirds was on the telly.
I don't get the fussy eating thing either. Given enough children, nieces, nephews and so on, you'd think that at least a few of them would be fussy eaters, or at least one.

Not one in our (extended family).

I got in a bit of a fight on EF a few years ago when I made similar comments.

I think my reasoning, that in many cases, the parents are often to blame due to their own reactions being passed consciously or unconsciously on to their children could be summed up by one poster who wrote, along the lines of, "How could you make your children eat those nasty, horrible vegetables!"
