Nothing to make a fuss about, IMO. It's fairly normal practice around the world for insurance companies to check the validity of claims, particularly long-term disability and the like, and it makes up a significant part of the private detectives' workload.

This law actually seems like it's offering better protection and more transparency for the individual than before, and indeed than is the case in many other places.
