| It may be an urban myth but I heard a story about a Brit that thought it would be cool to take his GE license plates back to Britain. Apparently when he transited Geneva airport he was refused entry as possessing Swiss plates indicate that adequate insurance has been paid and he owed his insurance company 2 or 3 years payments.

It's probably more likely that he was stopped because he owed 2 or 3 years of car tax rather than insurance. Well he probably owed the insurance too but that's not why he would be stopped.
