We know that the airports 3 letter code will be BER. Why? First, because you could book flights to the BER airport. Second, because you can look it up on the IATA website https://www.iata.org/publications/pa...de-search.aspx

But you are partially right. BER is also the 3 letter code for the corresponding metropolitan area. A similar situation exists with LAX and also with ATL
