Exporting foodstuff from USA to Switzerland
I have an opportunity to take over an established business in USA that exports foodstuff to Switzerland. Im curious if anyone over there can help me out with regulations of the importing of foodstuffs. I can not seem to find anything online about it. I read there are restrictions but cant find what those restrictions are. Also is it true you need a place of business within Switzerland to import foodstuff? I know I would need a local representative to set up VAT since sales exceed 100k CHF per year.
