That however does not absolve you from Debts & they don't automatically inherit the other persons share. At death the likelihood of a forced sale would be higher don't you think, especially if they had any debts.
From my understanding of the link with joint ownership the value of the home is not counted with the means test........ so 'joint ownership' would be the better way to go.
