Rent, including imputed rent, on owned property abroad is used to determine the tax rate for those filing tax returns. It would not be considered Swiss taxable income.

In Ct. Zurich, tax returns must be filed by taxpayers subject to source tax when other income exceeds CHF 2'500 or taxable assets exceed CHF 200'000. See A.3 at this link:

Based on the information provided, it appears that you would not need to file an income tax return.
