Re: Trend of unemployment?

Knowing a lot of people in 'Big Pharma' in Basel I think, subjectively, that there is a trend of taking out a lot jobs at 140k+ (typically 50+) and looking to outsource and/or hire in 'on the cheap'.

I know for sure that the number of externally advertised jobs is pretty close to the internal number for at least one big player, implying that re-orgs are there to bring in 'outsiders', presumably at lower costs

I think in 10 years time Switzerland's 'special status' will have gone with salaries and, presumably, costs more on par with southern Germany.
