Re: Tax in Germany on Swiss income

Last November I moved to Germany from Switzerland. I have heard that I may have to pay German income tax on the money I earned in Switzerland in 2019 when I do my German income tax declaration, even though I will also do a Swiss tax declaration for 2019.

Has anyone been in a similar position and can say if this is true or not? Do I have to declare my Swiss earnings to the German tax authorities?

In Switzerland I was an employee and was not self-employed at any stage.
You should be able to just declare Nov / December in Germany as thats when you were resident, speak with local tax office for confirmation.
