We don’t know. There isn’t an accurate figure for how big the trans community is. That’s because it isn’t asked in the census, and there isn’t any research that’s been done that covers enough people to be statistically significant.
The best estimate at the moment is that around 1 per cent of the population might identify as trans, including people who identify as non-binary. If the figure of 600k is anywhere near accurate, that's double the number of Jewish people in the UK.
