Re: Non EU stay in Switzerland?

To be considered for a permit that continues after your apprenticeship is completed, ideally, you should try to find an offer of employment starting immediately after your apprenticeship.

I say this because the main thing that the Migrationsamt (which decides about permits) must look out for is whether or not you will be self-supporting. If they think that there is any chance that you will end up without any income and then needing to claim money from the Sozialamt (social security), then they are more likely to deny your permit application. If, on the other hand, you can show that you will have a proper salary, there is more chance that you will be allowed to stay.
