Sure, you are right. I meant to say that, if I get any, I expect to get permit L. In the past I was in Switzerland on permit B (during my PhD).

The reason is precisely because you don't need a tourist visa to come here. While you're working here you're a resident, not a tourist. Once you have no permit then you revert back to tourist status.
