Re: Corona virus test fee, with deductibles, no income

As per what I read in a news source (albeit a mealymouthed, low-utility outlet), the Covid test criteria is quite restrictive. If a doctor is prescribing anyone to get tested, the costs should be least of a concern. If $$$ is tight, there're waivers available on insurance premiums.

For example, a 60 year old man with a cough, high temperature and breathing difficulties, living with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, would not qualify for a test if he isnít in a high risk group (suffering from hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease or immunosuppression), isnít a health worker, doesnít live in a care home in the canton of Vaud.
