Re: Employment for non EU/EFTA citizens

As was mentioned in the thread earlier, all work permit applications have been suspended as of 31. March and at least until 15 June, and I expect this to be extended.

Technically this means that Swiss companies can only hire Swiss citizens, or people with a valid (and, for non-EU, open(!)) work permit who already live in Switzerland. Not even EU candidates can be hired now. I personally had to turn down two signed contracts with EU passport holders last week for they can neither enter the country, not get the work permit upon arrival anytime soon.
