Many thanks for all the advice. It appears that weíll have to pay tax at 20% market value too, as CH is not included in the EU importation rules. This might mean that itís not viable.
The plan was to keep it for the dirty jobs, and our outdoor lifestyle stuff, Plus European travelling, and basically keep it going until it was beyond economical upkeep. Itís a 2014 Subaru, and weíve owned it since new, so know itís been cared for. The same canít be said for a second hand UK car.
Seems like itís going to be an expensive business so might have to give the idea up and play the lottery that is used car ownership in the UK.
