Switzerland is a weird case.

I'm not sure whether people decide that if they can afford to pay someone to do something, there's no reason to do it themselves - be it cleaning, gardening or 'installing' a fridge or they actually feel all these jobs are specialist tasks and they are not qualified to do it?

I suspect as well that some of these jobs are too heavy for the elderly or less strong people.

If a fridge is inbuilt, there is quite a lot involved including removing the old fascia door, unscrewing the fridge from the carcass and so on.

Of course a half-height free-standing one is really a five minute job and one that would be preferable to do ones self so one could give the floor and wall behind it a good clean before sliding in the new one.
Oh thatís a good point, I hadnít thought about it being a built in fridge. I was thinking of a free standing one.
It would make sense to have a built in fridge installed, especially for older people.
