Offered Freelance on Chomage

Applied for a role as a developer in a German company.
Had a three interviews, all went well but ...
They proposed 3 month project as a freelance.

But I am on chomage... now I know I can sign off, and sign back on if it all goes south, so no job after 3 months.

And I think I can take a gain intermediate depending on what the contract is worth? The chomage office told me to use a company called Helvetic payroll? Anybody else use these people? They are telling me I need to earn at least 6K pcm to go thru them, it is the minimum salary for part time/contract work I am told?

Helvetic Payroll tell me I will be able to stay on Chomage longer if signup thru them, but that isn't the story I hear from others. I think Chomage will look to reassess payments when I have been in the system for 2 years, if I haven't worked for more than 1 year during that time I think I get nothing, so no extension. I would just paid tax into a system that won't pay out.
