Re: Buying a used cabrio

I had an Mx-5 and although I always had a garage, there were of course times it was parked outside. I never had any security issues on account of a soft top. Some plonker once threw a cigarette out of a window, which landed on the soft top and burned it. It left only a small blemish, but that could have gone horribly wrong. Depending on the car, the Mx-5 I had, had 2 drainage holes inside the car in case any water got under the top. These can become clogged (a wire coat hanger helps here) and if this happens, the back of the car could flood if subjected to lots of rain.
