We have bats which nest in our roof for a couple of weeks every year. Bats are no problem. They don't cause any damage, and don't chew any holes anywhere.


The only inconvenience is the guano, lots of it, but it's easy to clean up and very likely you'll find that the bats are only there a week or two a year anyay. Allegedly it's a great fertiliser.



I don't think you can persuade them to go anywhere, since they return to exactly the same spot year after year, and I think you'd be breaking the law if you tried...
