fwiw, i get low battery even with usb depending on the device. i guess some must be on the border of what it detects as a good voltage. if i had more time, i'd look to see if it's possible to remove this low voltage check.

I haven't opened up the card reader, but I guess there will be one single chip in there which handles the display, card reader and keyboard. Anyway, I would not entertain any great hopes of finding something hackable in there.
