Switch to online retailing - stores are running down their own business

No doubt many have noted that stores whether clothes or food shops are
eliminating their discretionary items and ( thanks to Covid ) there seems
to be a trend to only sell those items that the majority want at the expense
of those items, that gave interesting and eye catching alternatives or
were the mainstay of vegans or vegetarians

The excuse being difficulties in supply thanks to the Covid restrictions.

As a result shopping in store is becoming boring as the choice is the same, no
matter which other stores you try and therefore it feels as if retailers are
party to running down the high street, as more and more people shun the
stores for greater choice online.
