So I think I'm going to get the Nikon Z50 for general photography and the Go Pro Hero 9 for the water (although by the time I can travel again we might be on the Go Pro 3000).

I have a question about if I need to get the latest SD cad for the Z50 (the Go Pro comes with one). I already have 2 SD cards (32GB SDHC & 16GB SDHC I). Are these fine for the Z50, or do I need the latest and greatest?
The Nikon Z50 has only one SD card slot and one that is limited to only UHS-I speeds. So, no, you don't need to get the latest, greatest SD card, but I tend to have quite a few as they are relatively cheap and fill up quickly. If I were you, I'd get one that is at least 64 GB, just for the peace of mind that you won't run out of space when on vacation
