Not sure about English pubs but there are plenty of Irish pubs, which are basically the same thing. The Green Room and Kennedy's both sell good fish and chips but you may have eaten enough by that point. There's the Nelson off Bahnhofstrasse -- a bit scruffy and football-oriented but authentic enough.
