But you arenít giving your data to third parties, in fact you are removing them from the data exchange.

With a credit card you give your name, number, expiry date, secret code to the retailer which uses that information to get your money from the card issuer.

With Twint (or ApplePay) you send the transaction code to Twint and say please pay these guys. The retailer gets nothing from you. In my case my Twint is my bank so they already get data on my major expenses.
